Documentation: "The highest-level distinction in the CIDOC CRM is represented by the top-level concepts of E77 Persistent Item, equivalent to the philosophical notion of endurant; E2 Temporal Entity, equivalent to the philosophical notion of perdurant and, further, the concept of E92 Spacetime Volume." (CIDOC CRM 7.1.1.). Ontology Question: Can E92 Spacetime Volume be regarded as a perdurant or an endurant? Context: I'm modelling a historical gazetteer with CIDOC CRM classes and properties. In my understanding, a place (as defined by Pleiades, https://pleiades.stoa.org/help/conceptual-overview) is an endurant. Endurants are wholly present (i.e., all their proper parts are present) at any time they are present. i.e. the name, type and location of a mountain. However I also view a Pleiades:place as an E92 Spacetime Volume. "The continuous sequence of spatial extent that the matter of an instance of E18 Physical Thing occupies in the course of time, defines a spacetime volume unique to it from the beginning of its existence to its end, which can also be understood as its trajectory through the universe" (CIDOC CRM 7.1.1.). If E92 Spacetime Volume is a perdurant, and I view a Pleiades:place as an endurant then a Pleiades:place can't be an E92 Spacetime Volume?
