Chunk – C2

C2 Chunk

Scope note:

Chunks are intended here in the sense of NLP, i.e. as the result of shallow parsing or chunking: a sentence is analyzed with the aim of identifying constituent parts of sentences (nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc.) and then of linking them to higher order units that have discrete grammatical meanings (noun groups or phrases, verb groups, etc.). Chunks are therefore groups of tokens, generally below the sentence level. They can be used to identify noun phrases, especially in the process of named entities recognition
