C32 Abstract individual

Scope note:

This class models individual concepts that are not used to classify or characterize other entities, like instances of crm:E55 Type, but are defined by propositional objects (descriptions in the sense of the Descriptions and Situations ontology) and exist in individual or collective states of mind, or in texts and other information objects. These individuals do not exist in physical reality but just in the intentionality of a person or an intentional collective. For example a character in a novel, such as Jean Valjean in Les Misérables by Victor Hugo, or your bank account, are abstract individuals.

Abstract individuals are created as any other conceptual object by actors in events of type crm:E65 Creation. They are integrated into social representations through sdh-so:C30 Social Connotation, i.e. adoption and integration of these individuals by a collective of humans into their own understanding of reality or into their fictional world.
