C4 Procedure

Subclass of:

Superclass of:

Scope note:

A particular way of accomplishing something expressed as a series of steps followed in a definite order. A procedure is modeled as a propositional object because the emphasis is on its content, its steps and the elements they imply and not its formulation. This makes the main difference with the crm:Design or Procedure – E29 class. In other words, the same procedure could be expressed in different texts, with different formulations, or in different languages, or simply be shared by oral tradition which could be attested in different ways.

Examples:

The method for producing potassium by sodium reduction of molten potassium chloride at 870° C.

In First Order Logic:

  • C4(x) ⇒ C29(x)
