This class models the fact that a persistent item, during a given time-span, is perceived by human groups, a society or portions of it as having a legal quality.

The identity of the instances of this class and its subclasses is provided by the actual existence of the legal fact. This is intendend in the sense of an effective social connotation implying actual rights and obligations. The crm:E52 Time-Span of this class therefore corresponds to the actual existence of the legal fact, not a later knowledge of its existence. To capture the latter information use an instance of sdh:C7 Intentional State, the intentional content being the knowledge of the earlier existence of the legal quality.
