Scope note:
Associates a geographical place with its kind, i.e. the general type that defines its identity.
This kind is rigid i.e. it provides the identity of the place, and therefore cannot change during its whole life. E.g. a settlement cannot become a natural region without changing its identity. Generally used identified types are: natural area (field, wood, desert); built area (settlement, airport); territory (the geographical area controlled by a State, an administrative region); [general term for] road, square; bed of river, lake, sea; elevation (mountain, hill).
More specific types, that can evolve during the life of the object, are associated to the geographical place using the sdh:C48 Geographical Place Classification class.
Examples:
Heraklion (C13) has geographical place type City (C14).

I think we should call this property "has classifying geographical place type", as it is the shortcut of Geographical Place Classification
