The project Bearers of Knowledge and Networks of Education in Late Antiquity and Early Middle Ages (BoK-NoE) brought together students from Zurich and Madrid, from January to July 2025. The goal was simple yet ambitious: exploring complex intellectual networks of Late Antiquity while building real networks in the present. By creating student research groups from both places, we had teams who dealt with members of specific philosophical schools in Late Antiquity. While individual group members focused on single individuals through means of prosopography, the groups themselves focused on the connections and networks between the studied individuals.
