I understand better. I do, however, propose to relabel this property "is appellation for language of".

The domain of this property is a Temporal entity, and more specifically a subclass of 'histC1 Persistent item condition or characteristic', i.e. a characteristic of an object during a specific time span. The isAppellationOf property associates the CRM Entity E1 which has this Appellation as a valid appellation during the given time span. It is therefore an identity defining property of the histC10 Appellation for language class and must be provided.

This property doesn't seem necessary to me, the entity is linked to the appellation by the property P1: E1 CRM Entity -> P1 is identified by -> E41 Appellation -> histP11 is referred to by -> histC10 Appellation for language [Name use in a language]
