This property states that the entity in the domain position is possibly the same as the one in the range of the property, inside the same information system, and that they belong to the same class. This means these entities could potentially be duplicates but they are kept distinct because of this uncertainty.

To document that two entities are the same and that they should be merged, it is necessary to use instead the property P13 should be merged with (should be preferred to).
