The intentional act of dedicating an object (be this physical or symbolic, e.g. food, a sword,  a text, a picture) to an actor (be this real or fictional, an individual or a group) with a specific purpose, often in the hope of obtaining a favor or as a sign of thanks or respect.

A dedication captures the intentional phenomenon and can have as sdh:P43 has setting one or more crm:E5 Event (or subclasses)
