This property associates a legal quality to the custom or law defining it. This association provides the context of validity of the quality (as type) and can associate more then one law for complex qualities. The moment of the creation of the legal quality can be captured using the sdh-so:C16 Legal Conceptual Object Creation class.

The temporal existence of the quality, as expressed by this property, is related to the whole duration of the being in force of the traditions, customs or laws defining it. If the duration of validity of the quality is shorter than the whole duration of the considered custom(s) or law(s) then the sdh-so:C19 Legal Integration class should be used to express the fact that a quality stopped to be integrated in the law, and therefore was not any more in force.
