This class models religious identity in the sense of social sciences, as a type classifying individuals belonging to social-cultural systems of designated behaviors and practices, morals, worldviews, texts, sanctified places, prophecies, ethics, or organizations, that relates humanity to supernatural, transcendental, or spiritual elements (religion) or is a subgroup within a religion that operates under a common name, tradition, and identity (religious denomination).
The instances of this class should be entered as characteristics of people (Catholic, Muslim, etc.) and not as religions (Catholicism, Islam, etc.).
