This class expresses the fact that a person or an organization are considered as belonging to a group during a given time span.

The social fact of being a member simultaneously constitutes an intentional composition, insofar as the group only comes into existence through its members, and provides a person with the connotation of membership. Therefore, the class is a subclass of both the sdh:C8 Intentional Composition and the sdh-slc:C13 Social Role Embodiment classes.
