This class comprises actions intentionally carried out by instances of E39 Actor who are performing a particular social role. The substance of an instance of this class is intenetional activity

This class allows the documentation of an individual actor's intentional action within the scope of activity in a particular role. This role might be one known or performed typically, 'painter', 'lawyer' etc. or may be a specifically known and assigned social status known from other documentation, e.g.: "Designated Procurator for X". 

Instances of this class may come into being and end (occur over the same timespan) as that of the instance of activity within which the role is performed or may have a shorter duration if the exercise of role is taken up at some point during the overall activity. Instances of the class begin when the actor is intentionally performing the role and end when they cease to perform that role. Continuation is determined not by a physical activity but the continuous willing to be doing the action.
