This property associates the displacement of a physical object (the target entity of the property) with its next displacement (the source entity) if and only if the second displacement represents the continuation of the first in a temporal sequence of consecutive movements.

The physical thing that is the object of the first displacement (the target entity) must also be found in the second displacement (the source entity of the property) because the identity of the second movement as a spatio-temporal phenomenon is provided by a physical thing that must be identical or closely related to the first. However, the physical object of the first displacement may represent only a part of the object of the second displacement, e.g. the wagons of a first train are added to another train and continue the journey with it.
