Maneuvering the Mind: The Ethics of Audience Deceit in Performance ongoing
Maneuvering the Mind: The Ethics of Audience Deceit in Performance ongoing
Description:
I aim to explore ethical lies in performance. Do such lies exist? Is it unconscionable to directly deceive an audience even if it grants them a good experience? Does an audience implicitly consent to be lied to when witnessing a fictional story?
This is a collection of performance studies, Ancient Greek philosophy, and neighboring fields in both categories to synthesize my own research for public access.
