This was the original namespace and corresponding definition for the GEMENET (Genoese Merchant Networks) ontology developed in 2021–22. Due to the numerous restrictions placed upon ontology modification by the ontome.net platform, work on this ontology has been moved to the https://github.com/steasdale/gemenet-ontology platform, which handles collaborative work in a much more robust manner. This URI will be retained as the namespace. The acronym for the ontology has also been changed to GMN.
