"Individuals" are for us living beings (or having lived).They occupy various statuses during their lives, notably professional: they therefore embody characters.

As an example, the "human being" Mr. Vourch embodied during his
his professional life the character of a blacksmith, with specific skills within the Pontaniou Forges team (one group), one of the departments of the DCNS company (one group including another group).  

Given the discussions with Nicolas Richard, leader of the LIA "Mines of Atacama" concerning activities in the industrial and mining environment of the Atacama Desert, we also consider animals as individuals embodying a character, as for example the llama named X carrying material and moving alone from one point to another.
